UK Police Cutbacks


4th July 2012: The head of the Association of Chief Police Officers, Sir Hugh Orde warned that cuts to the police budget could compromise the safety of the public. This graphics ran throughout the proposed numbers.

RBS Banking Glitch



26th June 2012: RBS's computer meltdown is being blamed on a computer software upgrade. We used a cashpoint device to list the changing statements given by RBS during the unfolding events.

The Queen's Jubilee



2nd to 5th June 2012: The Queens Jubilee Weekend brought a series of celebratory events in London and we branded the event with stylised stings and on screen furniture.

The Cultural Olympiad


21st June 2012: The Cultural Olympiad consisted of a series of events organised around the UK to celebrate the build up to the Olympics. This graphic used an 'Olympic branding style' map to show where a few of the key events were happening.

Greece Bailout


17th June 2012: Greece is given two weeks to approve stricter austerity measures which would ensure that it receives a further 12bn euros in bailout money from the eurozone and the IMF. This graphics showed the countries which are also in trouble financially.

Europe on the Brink


23rd May 2012: Europe on the brink was a literal characterisation of the financial crisis in Europe. Ahead of a key meeting of European leaders the program was branded with this look using a sting and maps.

Paralympic Rugby



15th May 2012: In the build up to the Paralympics channel 4 news did a profile of wheelchair rugby - "murderball." After narrowly missing out on a medal in 2008, the British team is aiming for a top three place in London and we used top trump cards to do a run down of the team.

The Queen's Speech



9th May 2012: The Queen's speech will set out the coalition government's plans for the forthcoming parliament. This graphic looked at some of the measures it is likely to contain.

IVF Study


6th May 2012: One in 10 children conceived by fertility treatment ICSI have birth defects, the largest study of its kind shows. ICSI is used in about half of UK fertility treatments. This graphic illustrated some of the key findings of the report.

Breivik Trial



17th April 2012: Anders Breivik, who admitted killing 77 people in Norway, tells the court he was acting out of goodness, not evil, and claims he wanted to prevent a wider civil war. This graphic highlighted some of the court exchanges.

UK Drought



16th March 2012: Britain's water shortages may last beyond Christmas with more than half of the UK already affected and 17 new drought zones declared this graphic showed a more in depth look at the causes.

Hose Pipe Ban


5th April 2012: A hose pipe ban was put in place for areas of the south east of the UK, this graphic showed a map of affected areas and the equivalent use of water in a domestic bathroom and kitchen.

Honey Bee Report

23 March 2012: The governments' top bee scientist have concluded that the decline in Bee numbers is not due to the increased use of insecticides. This graphic outlined the findings of the latest extensive government study.


Dog Attack Statistics


23 March 2012: After a rise in dog attacks the government has introduced tougher guidelines for judges in cases involving dangerous dogs which will focus on an owner's culpability and victims' injuries. This graphic illustrated the increase in incidents.

13 March 2012: We used top trump cards to compare Sachin Tendulkar and Sir Donald Bradman as Englands cricketers complete a series whitewash over India.



National Health Lottery Comparison


13 March 2012: The National Lottery operator Camelot is to mount a legal challenge after the Gambling Commission ruled that the Health Lottery was not acting unlawfully. Camelot's chief argument was that the Health Lottery is essentially a national lottery. This graphic compared the two lotteries.



Benefit Statistics

5th March 2012: George Osborne announced changes to the benefits system. This graphic explained how it would effect a few different families.

Cameron Horse Scandal

2nd March 2012: A political row erupted over David Cameron admited that he had ridden a former police horse that was on loan to Rebekah Brooks of News International. This was a fun graphic device to show a few quotes from david Cameron in his defence.

Project Merlin


10 February 2012: This graphic used a wizards hat and a magic wand to run through a summary of the current situation of the governments "Project Merlin" which is supposed to impose bonus and lending regulations on 4 of the big high street banks.
